Ronald Hollis
About Ronald
Meet Ronald Hollis, the passionate and talented Minister of Music at GMCBC. Ron has been a musician for more than 35 years and brings a unique blend of expertise and creativity to our congregation. Since 2015, he has led our music department and choir, skillfully guiding them to create soul-stirring and engaging worship experiences.
Since the age of 15 when he began to play the piano and organ, Ron has found comfort and inspiration in music. This love for the art eventually led him to pursue formal training in the field of music. As a young musician, Ron was greatly influenced by his mentor, the late Hattie Bealer of Macedonia Baptist Church in Little Rock. It was there that he was first given the opportunity to share his gift in a church setting. Then, at age 17, he was afforded the chance to play for Clayton Chapel Baptist Church in Sherwood, Arkansas. Throughout the years, Ron’s gift has been recognized by many and he has been asked to play for many churches and denominations. He taught piano at Dunbar Community Center Afterschool program. He directed and traveled extensively with the Wilbur D. Mills Gospel Choir. He accompanied the choir as they performed at various churches, organizations and events. It was a particular privilege for Ron and the choir to be invited to present in New York, New York.
His commitment to leading others in heartfelt worship has made him an integral part of our church family. We cherish him for his infectious enthusiasm and ability to connect with people from all walks of life.
