About Pastor Scott

Pastor Kenny A Scott is a cherished figure within the Greater Little Rock faith community. Having spent his formative years in North Little Rock, he developed a deep-rooted connection to the community and a strong sense of devotion to his calling..

Pastor Scott's journey in ministry began at St. Luke Baptist Church where, in September 1992, he was licensed under the leadership of Pastor Arnett Dotson. This early experience laid the foundation for his strong commitment to serving others through the gospel. His dedication and passion for Christian education led him to the position of Dean of the General Missionary Baptist State Convention, where he diligently worked to strengthen the spiritual knowledge and understanding of the conventions’ constituents.

Before assuming his current role as the pastor of GMCBC, Pastor Scott shepherded the congregation of St. Stephens Baptist Church in North Little Rock, Arkansas. This prior pastoral experience equipped him with a unique blend of leadership skills and a profound understanding of the needs of a diverse congregation.

With a heart full of compassion and a deep well of knowledge, Pastor Scott inspires, uplifts, and guides those under his care on their spiritual journeys. In addition to learning and applying the word of God, Pastor Scott supports and emphasizes the spiritual and physical needs for his congregants.

Although priority is given to the spiritual needs of the church, Pastor Scott is convinced that the church must have a VISION that goes beyond the present and prepares us for eternity—to build people! That vision continues to guide GMCBC in becoming the church that God is calling Her to be . . . to take care of the whole man - spiritually and physically.

Pastor Kenny A Scott's life journey is complemented by the support and partnership of his wife and first lady, Erma Coney Scott. Together, they form a dynamic and resilient team that extends warmth, compassion, and wisdom to the GMCBC family. Their own family, is a beautiful blend of diverse backgrounds, reflecting the inclusive spirit of their ministry as well as the values of love, acceptance, and unity that they advocate within the GMCBC congregation and beyond.
